PHP 8.0 now available
Following its official release on the 26th November, PHP 8.0 is now available for use on all hosting accounts.
Details of the changes and new features can be found on the official release page here.
To activate this on your account, please follow this guide.
We now have PHP 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0 available to select – if you’re still using PHP 7.2 you should upgrade as soon as possible, as it is now End Of Life and not receiving security updates. The graphic below details the update life for each version.
With WordPress 5.6 already updated for PHP 8.0, it makes sense to upgrade as soon as you can.
If you’re a PHP fan, you might also want to take a look at the elePHPant shop. It’s run by the excellent Vincent Pontier who also designed the new logo. Here you can adopt the original Pink and Blue elePHPants! https://www.elephpant.com/
